So let’s get the basics out of the way. My name is Elizabeth (and it always gets shortened to Liz by anyone I meet) and I live in New York City.
I graduated with a BA in journalism in the fall of 2009. You can read all about my bitter thoughts on school and work and loans here. After fumbling around for a few years, I think I have FINALLY figured it out.
I went back to school in Fall 2014 and graduated in Fall 2015 with a Master’s in Library Science. I now work for a public library and absolutely love it.
I originally started this blog when I was an aimless 20-something hoping that things would fall into place when I hit the big 3-0. Well I finally hit the big 3-0 and I can let you know that things do not automatically fall into place. I don’t think adulting is ever going to be easy.
This blog is filled with a lot of the ridiculous stuff I find myself having to deal with now that I am an “adult”. I also tend to delve into more serious issues and can get a little political or cranky at times. (I figure, what’s the point of your own blog if you can’t rant a bit?) But I promise that even when I’m serious, I’ll try to keep it light.
And keep in mind that most of my posts should be taken tongue-in-cheek. I am sarcastic about 90% of the time.
Like the blog? Then let’s keep this connection going!
